Champions Run Kraken Swim AND Dive Team 2024
Welcome to the Champions Run Kraken Swim and Dive Team! Our approach to swim team is to always HAVE FUN! We have an incredible coaching staff that will help develop your children into improved swimmers over the course of the summer. By joining our swim & dive team, your kids will get exclusive access to all the fun games and activities that we do at the pool. Whether this is your first time with swim team or you are a seasoned veteran, you will quickly find that swim and dive team is targeted to all kids, with all abilities! Swim team is a great place to make new friends & have the summer of a lifetime. We can’t wait to meet you!

The first day of swim practice will be on Wednesday, May 29th. Practices are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays until July 12th. We will not have practices on Thursday. If you cannot make it to every practice, that is OKAY! Please stay in town July 15-17 if possible, this is our finals week! The sign up cost for the swim and dive team is $225 for the first child and $200 for each additional child. A t-shirt, swim cap, awards, donut days, Kraken Cup, and so much more are included in the fee. If there are any problems with practice time please let the coaches know, we can make accommodations.
Little Kraken Progam
This program is great for swimmers new to swim team (5-6 year olds). Practice is held in the shallow end of the pool. Little Krakens will swim ONE race in all HOME meets at 5:45 before the meet starts! Little krakens focus on introduction to swimming and stroke development. Little Krakens need to be comfortable in deeper water and be able to swim the length of the pool. Little Krakens is not a replacement to swim lessons. Kids should be able to pass level 4 or 5 swim lessons to be in Little Krakens.

Swim Team Suit:
(Sizing kit available at front desk beginning March 1) I will send out a link to purchase online through Swim Outlet. Swim caps are free and will be handed out the second week of swim team. You may just purchase a black suit if you do not want a team suit. Suits can be ordered at Swimoutlet.com. I will provide the store link on March 1st.

Kids need to be comfortable in deeper water and be able to swim the length of the pool. We accommodate to all skill levels for both swimming and diving. We also encourage participating in both programs! Little Krakens practice mostly in the shallow end of the pool under direct supervision.
Seniors Program: I encourage all High School students to join the team (Ages 15-18) IT IS FREE!!! They are the heart and soul of the team. For HS students who join the program we will help develop them into instructors and role models. It is a great opportunity to get involved and learn amazing leadership skills. We also have special awards at the end of the season for our senior division. Graduating HS Seniors will be awarded at the end of the season banquet. Practice is optional for HS students, but we encourage them to attend Home meets, prelims and finals! Contact Ben for more information.
Fun Days:
Every FRIDAY will be a fun day. We will begin with a short practice, then play pool games, do slip n slides, and many other exclusive pool games only available for kids on swim team. Doughnuts and Ribbons will then be handed out to the kids.
Rain Days:
If the weather is questionable for a meet or practice, I will email all of the parents the night before or the day of (around 7 am) - we will send text alerts as well. We will try to find indoor alternatives periodically. Please make sure you receive our Emails! You will also be opted in to our text message alert system. Call us if you are unsure!
Thursdays:
There will be no swim or dive practices on Thursdays.
Swim and Dive Meet Schedule
Dive meets begin at roughly 2pm and conclude by 4pm on Wednesdays
Swim Meets begin at 5pm and conclude by 8pm on Wednesdays
(Wednesdays are Theme Nights!) GO ALL OUT!

Please bring a towel to practice.
Please bring goggles to practice. You can buy nice goggles at scheels! No scuba masks please. Also swim shirts are hard to swim in (they are not recommended for 8+).
